My mom was a professional photographer and from a young age I took after her love of capturing life through a lens. I always found it fascinating that a simple photograph could change the way you view the world. I grew up on a five acre farm in Oakdale, a small town in central California that is home to a football stadium, rodeo arena, Denny's, and highway 120, which leads right to Yosemite National Park.
Every year my family would take a road trip to a national park, primarily Yosemite, where I took photos of anything and everything. These trips were what eventually lead to my love of photographing wildlife and landscapes. My fondest memories are during those national park road trips with my family, not just because of the concerts my sister and I performed in the back seats, but they gave me a chance to be adventurous and capture moments that I may never witness again (i.e seeing a newborn bison calf at Yellowstone). These experiences are very special to me, and now I have the opportunity to share them with you!
I now live in Santa Cruz California with my boyfriend Dillon and the love of my life, my pet rat Emmett! In my free time I enjoy hiking around the Santa Cruz mountains, going wine tasting, scuba diving, and of course, photography! In addition to nature photography, I also take portraits of people and pets! If you are interested in booking a session or have any questions are comments, feel free to contact me!
